Does anyone know the history about the SPRY SHORTENING's "AUNT JENNY" character from the 1940's

Does anyone know about the Actress who protrayed her in those funny booklets full of recipies that were given away in the 30's to the 50's?
I understand at one time there was a long running radio show that featured the same Actress, but I looked on IMDB and can find nothing about it or her.

There doesn't seem to be alot of information on the actress, but plenty on the character. Aunt Jenny was portrayed by voice actress, Edith Spencer. She also narrarated and hosted the radio show, "Aunt Jenny’s Real Life Stories".

Earlier in 1945, she appeared as the guest armchair detective on Ellery Queen's radioplay. The episode was called "Cupid".

I was hoping to find more info such as when she died, but I can't seem to come up with anything else at the moment.
