Hi All
I am planning to buy Hamilton Beach Panini Press Gourmet Sandwich Maker - 25450.. after looking at others like cusinart 5 in 1 panini press, etc..
I dont have prior experience in using these type of electornic devices.. And I dont want to spend too much .. I want a decent working machine... so is this a good choice will I happy after buying this..
I love to have lines on my sandwitches thats the reason I am trying to buy which is not plain..
I am not sure if cleaning is easy..
Is it better to buy in store or online these kind of products..

Cleaning isn't easy & saucy ingredients are a little tricky w/a taller sandwich which adds to a complicated clean up. Panini Pans can achieve the same lines & clean up is simple, What looks like the lid of the pan is actually the press ( w/ lines ) & heavy ( to retain the heat ), once you place it over the sandwich.
If you do want to purchase a Panini Maker Appliance, DO NOT purchase on line. Take the time ( if you can ), to evaluate your options & purchase one that is not so complicated to clean. Here are some of the reviews of the Hamilton Beach 25450:

So this is a great sandwich maker. If you have not had the taste pleasure of crunching into a panini you are missing out. This provides great ease and toasts 'em up quick. I rated this a 3 because my husband likes his sandwiches bigger and better and if you sauce it up then this panini maker tends to schloop ingredients right out from between the bread. I have only had it happen to my normal sized sandwiches but agree that if you have sauce like bbq or something else saucy inside then when you start to press the two sides of the maker together it slides the bread right off causing a mess. If you level it right then you end up with a fantasticly satisfying crunchy sandwich that you personalize and can be better than any specialty sandwich shoppe for a fraction of the price. The only better maker I have seen are the ones that go directly on the stovetop and have a completely separate presser lid that you lay on top. The model I have seen I think is Mario Bartelli and costs extraordinaly more than this one that works just great!

Ok for toasting

If you're craving warm, toasty sandwiches and you've only got $40 in your pocket you can either go to a sandwich shop a handful of times or buy this little press so you can have a nearly unlimited supply! While this panini press may not be perfect, it does a fine job putting out melty, toasted sandwiches that are way better than what you can make otherwise. I purchased this press a couple of days back and have experimented with some french bread, swiss cheese, salami and turkey bacon. In both cases the sandwich came out just right, ingredients warmed and cheese melted. For the less positive reviews, my guess is operator error and poor cooking skills, it's certainly not the press. You do want to make sure you get ingredients that are sliced to the right thickness and aren't ice cold from the fridge.
Cons:
The exterior of the machine gets VERY hot and clean up is slightly less than ideal.
To be fair, don't review the unit based on what it doesn't have as there are more expensive presses that have more features. Being able to remove the trays fr better cleaning would help as well, but for teh price you get what you pay for.

I am in love with my Hamilton Beach Grill - Panini Press! My husband and I received this panini grill as a wedding gift off of our registry and we are thrilled with it! We have had it for two and a half years now and it is still going strong! I am a stay at home mom so I always have sandwiches for lunch... and the best way to have a sandwich is to panini it! I use it almost everyday and it hasn't failed me yet. It heats up extremely fast and has two indicator lights. The red light lets you know that it is heating up and the green light will let you know when it has reached the right temperature and again when your sandwich is ready. I could not ask for more in my panini grill and it was a the PERFECT price. It is much cheaper than its competitors.
I have 2 complaints about this product. We bought this as a gift for my husband's parents and they used it for 2 weeks and then it just stopped working and didn't even heat up. My 2nd complaint would be that it is kind of difficult to clean. Other than that, I couldn't be happier!
