Commercial Acoustic products that could measure a gas density in a chamber?
Does anyone know of a commercially available product that uses acoustic means to measure a gas density in a chamber or room? Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
The problem with any acoustic measurement is that the speed of sound for a given gas species depends on temperature, not density.
You can use barometer for slight departures from atmosphere. Otherwise, there are a number of pressure gauge technologies available from which you can infer density based on the ideal gas law. The simplest would be a gas cylinder pressure gauge.
