Urgent help - how can I release a cake from its tin?
I've just baked a sponge cake which is in one of those shaped cake tins (a Christmas Tree!). Despite greasing it well before putting the mix in, it won't budge. Any suggestions?
Try either putting it in the frig or freezer to chill the grease in the bottom of the pan and then try warming the bottom with a blow torch and pop it out OR just try warming the bottom of the pan with the torch and see if it will pop out as is....also loosen the sides...I hope this helps..Make sure the cake is completely cool before removing from pan.
