My Chocolate Chips didn't melt?
I was trying to melt white chocolate chips in the microwave and i put it in a bowl and microwaved it for 45 sec. it started to melt and look normal but there was still a little chunks left so i put it back into microwave for 30 secs then it starts to dry up and become powdery. So i tried it on a double broiler, and the same happened i put it on the top pot to melt and it became very thick and very hard(literally it was hard)it was like lava.HELP!!!!!!
We've all been there man,
Chocolate chips got too hot. When you put them in the microwave, put it at medium power for 25 seconds at a time. and stir.When the chips are almost al melted STOP. the heat from the other chips will melt the remaning chunks. When it got all dry, it burnt up. Double boilers, the water should be simmering, ang not touch the bottom of the bowl. same idea as the half melter chips in the microwave. the heat will melt remaing bits.
